What’s been happening:

Class of '43?! It had been " ", 44, we're the class of '44! Nittany Lions we'll be evermore!" As we know, the war speeded up a few things, and I became part of the class of '43 in Chemical Engineering. At Penn State, in addition to some tough Chem Eng problems, I played clarinet and sax in the Blue Band and in dance bands for almost every fraternity (helped the quality of my meals quite a bit). Remember the "Aristocrats," the "Seven Men of Note" and the "Campus Owls"? After a medical lab stint on an Army hospital ship during WWII, I then went off to the University of Chicago for my PhD in Chemistry. And then for a postdoc at Cornell. First job was at the Naval Research Labs in Washington. First job was at the Naval Research Labs in Washington. After a few years I heard the Union Carbine established a new basic research laboratory in Cleveland and moved there with my wife Leonre and two daughters. I'm now continuing the good life at the Kendal retirement community in Oberlin. Some time after my wife's death I met and married my second wife. And Penn State started it all!
